Tomorrow

I dreamed about a star ship
that blotted out the sky
The ship was called Tomorrow,
defiance made it fly.

And on the prow its captain
pure dare in human frame
Dark hair and eyes like lightning
Adventure was her name.

She steered her ship by storm craft
caught hurricane in sail
Asinging olden verses
to conjure up the gale.

And I woke with a yearning
for stars and far away
So now I chase Tomorrow
and dream away today.
